Visiting God
God loves the one who is kind to His servants. If you read the Qur’an, you will see in many verses that God wants us to be kind to His servants.
Being kind to God’s servants is so important that it is as if we, by being kind to God’s servants, are being kind to God Himself. On the Day of judgment, God will say to one of the humans, “Oh son of Adam! Why didn’t you come to visit Me when I was sick?” The man, surprised, will ask, “Oh Lord! You are the Lord of everyone and their God, how could I come to visit You when You were sick?!” God will say, “One of My servants was sick. If you had gone to visit him, it would be as if you had visited Me.” Then, God will say, “I wanted water but you didn’t give me any.” That man will say, “Oh God! But you are the God. You never needed water so that I could give it to you.” God will say, “One of My servants needed water but you didn’t give him. If you had given him water, I would have given you the reward of your kind act right now.”
Then, God will say, “I wanted food from you but you didn’t give Me any.” That person will say, “Oh Lord! You are the God and You never needed food so that You would want it from me.” God will say, “One of My servants wanted food from you but you didn’t give him. If you had given him food, I would have given you a reward right now.”
